BCHL postpones start of 20/21 regular season

Monday morning the BCHL announced the league is following the new restrictions of the Provincial Health Officer and will not be scheduling any games between now and December 7.

This will result in the BCHL regular season being pushed back until December 8.

In a press release sent out by the league, BCHL Commissioner Chris Hebb stated “If the PHO extends their current restrictions beyond Dec. 7, we have the option of moving the start date to after the holidays, but it is our intention to begin play once the current order expires.”

If the regular season is delayed past Dec. 8, and players choose to go home for the holidays, they will be required to adhere to travel guidelines.
