The Takla Nation says it is now monitoring access to all visitors and non-resident members.

The Takla Nation says it is now monitoring access to all visitors and non-resident members.
“Applications can be requested through eocplans@taklafn.ca to enter the community,” reads a news release. “We are monitoring all travelling community members and ensuring that they are following the 14 days self-isolation once returning back to the community.”
The Takla Nation adds that a checkpoint will be set up shortly to monitor essential travel and access to the community.
“The member that tested positive has been transported out of the community and is in self-isolation, the Nation is working diligently on contract tracing along with First Nations Health Authority and Provincial Health,” adds the release.
The community is on a two-week shutdown and services such as the Administration Office, community school and the hotel are shut down.
The Takla Trading Post and restaurant will remain open with enforced safety precations. The Health Centre is open by appointment only.
