Slower job growth in November

Pace of job gains slows to 62,000 in November

PRINCE GEORGE- The rate of job growth continued to slow in November with the economy adding 62,000 jobs, down from 84,000 in October.

The gains were mostly focused in full-time work,according to Stats Canada. The National unemployment rate fell to 8.5 per cent, compared with 8.9 per cent in October.

B.C. saw its jobless rate drop to 7.1 percent from 8 per cent in October .

PG’s jobless rate headed in the same direction , down to 8.1 per cent last month from 9.5 in October.
