Prince George RCMP say a single-vehicle crash on Highway 97 near Kolling Road has closed the highway.

“Frontline officers and other emergency services are currently on scene. For the safety of first responders, the highway is closed and motorists can expect it to remain closed for several hours,” says Prince George RCMP Cst. Jennifer Cooper.

“There is a report of a downed hydro line that is also creating a safety hazard. The investigation is just beginning. Further information will be provided as information becomes available.”

The crash occurred just after 12 p.m. Witnesses are asked to contact the Prince George RCMP at (250)561-3300
