RCMP investigating PG’s first homicide of 2021 on New Year’s Day

PRINCE GEORGE – Less than two hours into the New Year, Prince George RCMP were called to a home on 15th avenue where they found a 50-year-old man deceased.

At approximately 1:45 a.m. on January 1st, frontline officers arrived on scene and discovered the man dead inside the home.

Officers secured the area and the Prince George RCMP’s Serious Crime Unit was called in to lead the investigation.

The investigation is in the early stages and significant resources have been deployed.

Police believe this was a targeted event. Investigators wish to speak to anyone that may have witnessed this incident or anyone that may have information.
