RCMP remain tight-lipped on PG homicide investigation

PRINCE GEORGE – Prince George RCMP aren’t sharing any new details about the city’s first homicide of 2021.

Police won’t say if they have any suspects in custody or if they have any persons of interest, what they will say is that the public is not at risk.

“This is a targeted event,” says Cst. Jennifer Cooper.

At approximately 1:45 a.m. on January 1st, frontline officers arrived on scene and discovered a 50-year-old man dead inside a home on 15th avenue.

Officers could be seen inside and around the home on Monday afternoon which remained behind police tape.

Investigators wish to speak to anyone that may have witnessed this incident or anyone that may have information.
