Getting your COVID-19 test results just got a little easier in Northern Health

PRINCE GEORGE – A new health portal launched by Northern Health will help you get access to more health information, quicker.

The new tool called HealtheLife will give Northern BC residents who received care at a Northern Health hospital or primary care centre can view hospital-based health information, including COVID-19 results, online.

But it can also be used for more than just that with a smartphone app you can download for access as well as through a computer.

Aside from COVID-19 tests, you can also view upcoming appointments, additional lab tests, and imaging results.

The creation of the app was to assist with physical distancing in health care settings.

Northern Health says use of the portal is optional, and patients can still go to their clinic or doctor’s office to get test results.

For help understanding test results and advice on next steps, patients will still need to consult with their health care provider.

Before being made available to the public, HealtheLife was tested by Northern Health staff members. More than 430 staff members signed up to help test it, and feedback was positive.
