PRINCE GEORGE – As tensions boil over in the United States, there were about 10 people who rallied through the lunch hour in Prince George.

The group said they were rallying in support of Donald Trump while holding signs pertaining to ‘The Great Reset’ and ‘Get Trudeau Out’.

One man became animated when CKPG News arrived on scene, others seemed to want nothing to do with our TV cameras.

CKPG News spoke with Eldon Wilson who said there is plenty of reasons he thinks Canadians should be concerned.

“I support Trump because I watch what he’s done the last four years in the US, he’s tried to expose a lot of corruption and a lot of disgusting things that are going on, and he is very much for the people. I just think he’s a very honest individual who is trying to help the everyday guy like you and me, ” says Wilson.

Reports say shortly after 1 p.m. ET hundreds of pro-Trump protesters pushed through barriers set up along the perimeter of the Capitol, where they tussled with officers in full riot gear, some calling the officers “traitors” for doing their jobs.

More to come.
