PRINCE GEORGE – Spruce Kings’ Darwin Lakoduk is headed off to join his NCAA school at American International College (AIC) for the remainder of the season.

With a roster spot open, the Spruce Kings are excited to announce that forward Linden Makow will now join the Spruce Kings roster. In 26 games with the U16 team, the 16-year-old scored 23 goals and 14 assists.

“We are very happy for Darwin that his opportunity to join AIC has been moved up,” said GM Mike Hawes in a release made by the team. “Darwin is a tremendous young man and a great player, and this opportunity will enhance his development. I know that the BCHL will get to a point that we will have a season, but Darwin will benefit from the fact that AIC is currently playing games.”

Lakoduk, 20, was acquired by the Spruce Kings this past summer in a deal with the Penticton Vees. The forward finished the 2019-20 BCHL campaign with 11 goals and 12 assists in 58 games played combined with the Vees and the Victoria Grizzlies.
