Drugs and weapons bust at downtown hotel

PRINCE GEORGE — Two people were arrested this week after a drug bust at a local hotel.

Prince George RCMP say it happened Wednesday morning at the Ramada Plaza Hotel on George Street. The investigation was launched by a tip indicating that guests staying at the hotel were in violation of the province’s protective measures order.

While searching their room, RCMP Cst. Jennifer Cooper says police saw ammunition in plain sight and later discovered a large amount of drugs including fentanyl, cocaine and heroin.

Police also found multiple firearms hidden throughout the room along with stolen items such as laptops, industrial tools and other devices.
