A total of 61,912 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19 since the pandemic began, 55,099 people have recovered.
The Province says there are 4,331 active cases of the virus, 329 people are hospitalized, 70 of whom are in critical or intensive care.
Sadly, there have been 12 new deaths bringing the provincial death toll to 1,090.
To date, 92,369 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in B.C.
Health Minister Adrian Dix says the province is adjusting its vaccination plans due to word that Canada will not receive any doses of the Pfizer vaccine next week.
Dix says B.C. was supposed to receive 5,800 doses. He says more of the Pfizer vaccine will be devoted to second doses while the Moderna vaccine will become the province’s “workhorse” for first doses.
