PRINCE GEORGE — High winds, up to 70 kilometres in strength, have led to a number of power outages in Prince George and its surrounding areas.

At the moment, BC Hydro says over 6,000 of its customers are currently without power in Prince George.

Prince George Fire Rescue Chief John Iverson says they’ve received about a dozen calls due to the outages this afternoon already.
