Stabbing suspect arrested

PRINCE GEORGE — Prince George RCMP have arrested the suspect in a weekend stabbing.

Cst. Jennifer Cooper says police found a man suffering from stab wounds shortly after 8 a.m. Saturday in the basement of a residence on the 1100 block of Vancouver Street.

“Police in Grande Prairie apprehended the suspect, now identified as 28-year-old Jacob Johan Vanderminne, at 2 p.m. MST on Sunday, Jan.24. Jacob Vanderminne’s arrest would not have been possible so quickly without information provided to police from the public.”
