Grand Tour of Caledonia exceeds expectations, doubling expected registrations

PRINCE GEORGE – The Grand Tour of Caledonia is less than a month underway and it has already proven to be a success.

Since starting on Jan. 4 (2021), Kevin Pettersen, Director of Competition at the Caledonia Nordic Ski Club, says they have received nothing but positive feedback.

“We were hoping that we could get 200 (registered), hopefully. It has far exceeded our expectations. We have 415 people that have registered for the Grand Tour and are out here every week,” said Pettersen.

A new course is set and marked starting Monday of every week (starting with shorter and easier courses and gradually increasing in length and terrain) and can be skied at any time of the week.
