PRINCE GEORGE – The name Dr. Bonnie Henry has become one of the most recognizable names in British Columbia.

In recognition of her calmness and leadership in protecting countless lives, a seed supply company was inspired to develop a seed packet that will encourage bee pollination and raise funds for Food Bank Canada.

Be Kind, be calm be safe are the words are the ones that motivated the West Coast Seeds company based in the Lower Mainland to use Dr. Henry’s advice and print them on a seed packet to help raise money for a charity of her choice.

After further conversion with Dr. Henry’s team, President of West Coast Seeds Aaron Saks learned she liked Cosmos flowers.

Saks’ team got to work and developed a colorful blend of cosmos flowers.

According to Saks Dr. Henry is an advocate for food security and reintroducing people to gardening is important.

In total West Coast Seeds has sold 22,000 packets in turn raising $150,000 for Food Banks Canada.

The West Coast Seeds crew are busy making more seed packets and raised their funding goal to $250,000.
