Northern Caps pushing for more entries as Kraft Hockeyville nomination phase enters final week
PRINCE GEORGE – The Northern Capitals are looking to capture the national eye.
A year after participating in the first-ever female midget outdoor game in Canada, the organization is now submitting its nomination for the 2021 Kraft Hockeyville Challenge. If successful, it will bring $250,000 worth of improvements to Ernie Sam Memorial Arena in Fort St. James and the right for the region to host an NHL preseason game.
“We had our BC Winter Classic last year, second annual and the first time for women’s hockey in Canada. We were hashtagging Kraft Hockeyville hoping to catch their eye,” explained Media Relations Director for Cariboo Hockey, Caleb Wilson.
