Suspicious death in Fort St. John

FORT ST. JOHN — The Fort St. John RCMP is investigating a suspicious death.

North District Cpl. Madonna Saunderson says the investigation began last night when Fort St. John RCMP were called to a home in the 8900 block of 102 Ave. When police arrived, she says a 22-year-old woman was found dead.

“A 27-year-old was arrested without incident at the scene and remains in police custody,” says Saunderson. “All parties involved are known to each other and police believe there is no further risk to the public.”

She says the investigation is ongoing. The BC Coroners Service is also investigating.
