Hart Ski Hill sets season pass record

PRINCE GEORGE – This past weekend, the Hart Ski Hill sold its 2,000th season pass, which marks the first time the community ski hill has ever reached that achievement.

“We’re having a great year. Last year, we did over 1,700 season passes. This year, we’re at 2,000 and just reached that over the weekend,” said Hart Ski Hill Board Member Casey Johnson. “It’s been a great year and everyone has really been supporting the hill.”

Like many outdoor facilities, the Hart Ski Hill has been finding its numbers higher than in past years as people try to make the most of their time in a time where the COVID-19 pandemic still has impacts on many indoor sports and activities.

The community has backed the hill substantially this year, but as have the hill’s sponsors, which helped contribute the outdoor washroom and first aid facilities that made this season possible for the hill given the restrictions and precautions they were needing to meet.

While they are enjoying their success this year, that success does weigh heavily on the generous contributions from their sponsors. The Hart Ski Hill has been actively looking for businesses to help in its annual operations.

“We really needed the support,” explained Johnson. “Without the support from these sponsors, it would have really been a difficult season.”
