12 new infants and toddlers spots ready for March

PRINCE GEORGE – For some parents, there’s an ongoing struggle to find infant and toddler daycare spots.

However, the Columbus Community Centre in College Heights has recognized the demand and has taken steps to renovate a section of their facility to make more spots available.

The centre is scheduled to open at the beginning of March.

According to Dawna Varley, Executive Director of The Columbus Community Centre the teacher to child ratio is 1 to 4 with infants and toddlers, making it difficult to find staffing,

Varley plans to have 12 new spots ready for March 1st though the demand is great. She says there is a waiting list of 50 people.
