445 new cases of COVID-19, 30 in Northern Health
VANCOUVER — British Columbia continues to slowly push down the COVID-19 curve.
This as 445 new cases of the virus were announced today, 30 in the Northern Health region.

This as 445 new cases of the virus were announced today, 30 in the Northern Health region.

Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry says there are now 4,347 active cases of COVID-19, 226 people are in hospital, 61 of whom are in critical or intensive care.
A total of 72,750 people have been diagnosed with the virus in B.C. and 67,008 have recovered.
So far there have been 46 confirmed cases of COVID-19 variants, 29 of the variant found in the U.K. and 17 from the variant found in South Africa.
Sadly 10 more deaths for a total of 1,288 in B.C.
Henry says 162,982 people have been vaccinated for COVID-19 and 17,502 people have received second doses.
As we head into the Family Day long weekend, she encourages everyone to continue to follow safety protocols to keep the case count down.
