PRINCE GEORGE – The impact of Glen Moose Scott stretches far beyond just the lacrosse scene in the city.

Moose was a fixture known across the community for many reasons, including even a stint on city council.

Brian Skakun who has served 18 years in council chambers says he remembers the man well.

“Sometimes Glen and I didn’t agree on things and kinda went at it, but at the end of the day we both loved Prince George,” says Skakun. “He was just so passionate.”

His son Chris joke his resume would’ve been very long.

Glen worked at PG this week, the PG Citizen, CJCI Radio in the 1970’s, among other things along the way.

Skakun remembers when Scott worked at ‘The Barn’ in the basement of the Inn of the North at the time.

His impact also stretched across the city in many different ways including the Carney Street Lacrosse box but also the David Mah memorial benches, a driving force behind getting those in place.

But as Chris mentioned, it takes a village, his father Glen was successful thanks to so many across the community.

Chris says the response from the community has been overwhelming, he says there have been countless people giving his family calls and sharing stories of his father over the years.

A big man, who made a big impact on the community.

Glen was 75 when we passed away on February 19th after a lengthy battle with cancer.
