100 MILE HOUSE, B.C. — A snowmobile falling out of the back of a truck near Forest Grove led to an impaired driving arrest on Feb. 17.

100 Mile House RCMP received a report from a woman along Canim-Hendrix Lake Road after a blue snowmobile fell from the back of a black truck bed, narrowly missing her vehicle. The driver didn’t seem to notice and kept driving.

Officers arrived on scene and located a local man who had trouble standing, along with other signs of alcohol impairment. The man was arrested and failed two sobriety tests.

The driver admitted to drinking after fishing that day but didn’t believe it impaired his driving. His driver’s licence was seized and his vehicle was impounded for 30 days.
