PRINCE GEORGE — Prince George’s College Heights Secondary school had its first Covid-19 exposure since September, the start of the school year.

The exposure date was between March 8 to 9, but the school was not alerted of the exposure, by Northern Health until Monday (March 15).

Students and staff who came in contact with the infected individual, will be contacted directly by Northern Health.

Contact tracing is determined by Public Health by working closely with the school and the school district.

But the authorities say, the self monitoring period for those infected will be in effect until March 22, 2021.

College Heights Secondary has now had three cases of exposure, as two previous exposures date from December 10 to 11 and December 17 to 19.

There are seven other northern B.C. schools that were added to the exposure list on March 15 as well, though they were in the northwest region.

To date 22 schools of school district 57, and 3 private institutions in Prince George have been exposed to Covid-19, since the start of the pandemic.
