PRINCE GEORGE — A 40-year-old Prince George man is facing a pair of charges after police allege he stole packages from a home located on the 1600 block of Gillett Street.

Prince George RCMP Cst. Jennifer Cooper says the incident occurred at 1:15 p.m. on March 11.

She says the homeowner reported that they saw a man on their front door surveillance walk up and steal two packages from the front steps.

“The homeowner provided police with a very detailed description of the suspect, which aided members in locating the male,” says Cooper.

Less than 45 minutes later, she says the suspect, Jeffrey Krafczyk, was arrested.

“The B.C. Prosecution Service approved one charge of theft under $5,000 and one charge of failure to comply with probation against Krafczyk. Krafczyk is back in the community on a release order until his next court appearance at the end of March,” she adds.
