One woman arrested, another seriously injured in Williams Lake stabbing

WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — A Williams Lake woman is recovering after a stabbing overnight. RCMP were called to a home on Atwood Place at about 3:30 Thursday morning (Mar. 25).

There they found a 28-year-old woman who was suffering from a serious stab wound. She was rushed to hospital for treatment.

Investigators believe the woman was stabbed at a home on Second Avenue before she went to the Atwood Place home.

When officers continued their investigation at the Second Avenue home, they found and arrested a 25-year-old woman in connection with the assault.

The suspect and victim know each other and RCMP do not believe there is any further risk to the public.
