How cleaning has changed in SD57 since COVID took over

PRINCE GEORGE – It’s been no easy task, but custodial staff say with a lot of learning and an open mind, the change in cleaning strategies has made for a new era of cleanliness in local schools.

Both high schools and elementary schools have seen increased cleaning staff since the pandemic started, and have also seen new equipment.

Electrostatic sprayers and other bleach spraying mechanisms have let cleaning staff do a job that would’ve taken multiple hours.

These machines SD57 have purchased cost the district about $8,000 each, and staff say that if everything goes according to plan they will become legacies of the pandemic.
