Backyard chicken debate is back

PRINCE GEORGE – Poultry for Prince George is an advocacy group formed nearly six years ago to petition city council to allow backyard chickens. Though unsuccessful the first time out, the group is hoping the current council will reconsider that decision.

Poultry for PG’s Laura Lawrence is hoping a greater awareness around food security issues may work in their favour.

Poultry for PG has scheduled an online meeting for April 2 to bring interested community members together, spread awareness, launch research and update their proposal.
