Schools become targets for thieves.

PRINCE GEORGE – College Heights Elementary students may be experiencing feelings such as anger, fear, and a sense of personal violation when returning to school this morning as their school was the target of a break and enter over the Easter break.

Prince George RCMP say in the early morning hours of April 2, police responded to an intruder alarm coming from Ecole College Heights Elementary School. When they arrived, they noticed one of the side doors was pried open with a crowbar.

Police have responded to a few break and entry crimes at schools in the last couple of months for stolen electronics.

According to police, electronics make their way to online markets to be sold off quickly.

Anyone with information on the recent school break and enters are asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
