Brett Connolly will be looking for a fresh new start when he lands in Chicago after being dealt by the Florida Panthers, along with Riley Stillman, Henrik Borgstrom, and a 7th round selection in exchange for Lucas Carlsson and Lucas Wallmark.

Connolly has two more years on his four-year deal worth $14-million with Florida.

The 28-year-old has registered just two goals and two assists in 21 games this season. All while bouncing from the active roster in Florida; to waivers, to the Panthers’ taxi squad, and back to the Panthers active roster.

The former Cariboo Cougars and Prince George Cougars product captured the Stanley Cup with the Washington Capitals in 2018 before signing with Florida in 2019.
