Kings can’t solve Caron as Chiefs take 1-0 victory
CHILLIWACK, BC – It was another fantastic performance from Jordan Fairlie, and the Spruce Kings fired everything they could towards the Chilliwack Chiefs, however, they were unable to solve Mathieu Caron as Prince George dropped a 1-0 decision to the Chiefs.
At 16:25 on a Spruce Kings power-play, the Chiefs were able to take the puck off the face-off and force a 2-on-1.
It was Dawson Good who ripped it by the glove of Jordan Fairlie to give the Chiefs the lead. The shorthanded tally from Good was assisted by Brett Rylance.
The 1-0 score stood the for the rest of the game as Caron turned away every effort made by Prince George, as the Spruce Kings finished the game outshooting the Chiefs 23-21, but couldn’t find a puck to slip past the Chilliwack Chiefs’ netminder.
