PRINCE GEORGE — Ground was broken this morning (April 13) on this year’s edition of the Copper Project.

In its third year, CopperFalls Custom Homes is building a custom-built home with the proceeds being donated to the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation to support health care in northern B.C.

Approximately 45 contractors and suppliers have come together to build this year’s home – a 3,085 square foot rancher at #130 – 4393 Cowart Road in the Forest Park Subdivision in College Heights.

Over the past two years, the Copper Project has donated $190,000 to the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation. Last year’s donation of $100,000 supported Pediatrics, Mental Health and Wellness, and Cardiac care.

“Especially with COVID we’ve had to reinvent everything that we’ve done, this here is something that we don’t have to reinvent,” said Judy Neiser, CEO of the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation. “We’re very optimistic that another very fortunate family has a beautiful home.”
