PG Youth Baseball registration nearing its close

Apr 21, 2021 | 11:11 AM

It’s almost time to step up to the plate and aim for the fences.

Following the cancellation of the 2020 season, the Prince George Youth Baseball Association (PGYBA) is gearing up for the 2021 season, regardless of what changes they may need to make in the coming months.

Under the current provincial protocols, the association said in a release they will be able to have a season take place across the city. It may mean an all-practice season, but could also mean the possibility of having either inter-association games.

Registration has been open throughout spring and hundreds of boys and girls in all age categories have already signed up, according to the PGYBA.

The season starts in mid-May, depending on the weather and how that affects the condition of the fields. It closes in connection with the last day of school.
