New Mackenzie Fire Hall set to be complete late 2021

MACKENZIE- Mackenzie Fire Rescue will have a new home in late 2021, as the replacement of the current hall is set to be complete.

The new hall is set to replace a former municipal hall built back in 1969 which can no longer offer the services needed for the department.

The size of the fire trucks and technology has outgrown the building’s dimensions.

$6.5 million will be spent on the new hall fully funded by the Northern Capital and Planning Grant program.

The completion is expected in November 2021, with a new home for the 36 firefighters the hall can have at full capacity.
