Spruce Kings extend winning streak to six games
CHILLIWACK, BC – It was another offensive outburst this evening for the Prince George Spruce Kings as they were able to score seven times and defeated the Chilliwack Chiefs by a 7-3 score.
Andrew Seaman and Corey Cunningham both had two goals apiece, while Mason Waite, Carter Cochrane, and Colton Cameron (First BCHL Goal), all found the back of the net for the Prince George Spruce Kings.
Just under a minute in a half into the game, Jackson Munro got the puck at the left circle after some relentless pressure from the Chiefs, and Munro ripped it top corner on Aaron Trotter to kick start the offence for the Chiefs. Munro’s marker was assisted by Tyler McBay at 1:25 of the first period.
Off an offensive zone faceoff, Rowan Miller made a great diving effort to get the puck to Mason Waite at the right point, and the Spruce King captain roofed it over goaltender Mathieu Caron to tie the game at one. Waite’s third in the pod was assisted by Miller and Nick Rhéaume at 5:41.
