Local businesses working together to overcome patio challenges

PRINCE GEORGE – With current health restrictions prohibiting indoor dining, restaurants have been forced to move outdoors or do take-out or delivery in order to operate.

That has created a challenge businesses have not been forced to deal with before, patio weather in April in Prince George has usually been less than ideal.

Now, however, many local restaurants have found a solution.

You may have noticed the white tents outside of several local restaurants that have added all of the necessities inside, including heaters, while still abiding by the health orders.

Those white tents have been given to restaurants at an affordable cost as well, down from the typical cost to rent an outdoor tent.

“I phoned Sheldon and Jack at Central Display, and told them our idea. They were 100% on-board and helped us so much, and once we got the tents set up they told be they would be cutting the rates in half,” says Nathan Coole, owner of the Westwood Public House.

Local companies Central Display & Tents, L.A. Promotions, and Partytime have all worked together to make the tents happen which are now scattered at restaurants across the city.
