Suspicious occurrence on CN rail track

FRASER LAKE — The Fraser Lake RCMP are looking for information following a suspicious occurrence on the Nechako River Bridge.

Last Thursday (April 29) at around 10 a.m. police say a CN freight train struck some debris that appeared to be intentionally placed across the track on the bridge.

The train was going 40 miles per hour which CN says could have caused the train to derail, placing the crews lives in jeopardy while also causing significant property and environmental damage.
