COVID numbers for May 10

Over the course of three days, BC has seen another 1,759 new cases of COVID-19. Broken down, there were 596 from Friday to Saturday, 605 between Saturday and Sunday and 558 between Sunday and today. That brings BC’s total case count to 136,100.

Of the new cases, 52 were in Northern Health.

There are 6,140 active cases in the province, with 415 in hospital. Of those hospitalized, 150 are in ICU.

Unfortunately, 20 people have died from the virus, 15 of who were over the age of 70, bringing BC’s total deaths to 1,622.
