PRINCE GEORGE – As supply ramps up, a lot more vaccines will be made available in the coming week for those who want it in Prince George.

The First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) opened a low-barrier COVID-19 vaccine clinic on Tuesday morning with room to administer 250 doses of vaccine a day.

The Urban and Away From Home Indigenous Clinic will provide access to vaccines to Indigenous people who are 18 and older and have not already received their first dose.

The idea of the clinic is to make vaccines as low-barrier as possible to accommodate anyone Indigenous who may not be able to book an appointment online.

The space will be open a handful of days including May 11, 13, 14, 18, and 19.

This comes in addition to the mass vaccination clinic already happening at the Prince George Conference and Civic Centre which is already administering over 1,000 doses of vaccine a day.
