Big Brothers Big Sisters to host Big Swing Fore Local Kids golf tournament

May 17, 2021 | 2:09 PM

PRINCE GEORGE – Pine Valley will be the site for the Big Brothers Big Sisters Swing Fore Local Kids golf tournament.

The tournament will run in support of BBBS and its Connect: Golf Program, that will pair a small group of kids with a mentor to participate in golf lessons with an instructor over the summer.

The month long tournament will run June 1st to 30th, and is in response to the non-profit being unable to hold a June edition of its annual Glow in the Dark Tournament. According to BBBS, that tournament is still being planned for August.

Teams will sign up through the Big Brothers Big Sisters website and will receive a gift certificate for a round at Pine Valley, dinner at Mr. Mikes and other apparel, upon registration.

Teams are able to register more than once as the more you golf the more you support the Big Brothers Big Sisters program.

Team registration for the 9 hole tournament will have a fee of $200 and opened early on Monday (May 17).

Jane Gauthier, Communications Manager of the event says, “they are really excited to have developed a new look golf tournament that will allow people to support their programming in a safe way.”
