PRINCE GEORGE – Every year dozens of kids in Northern BC get to experience the summer camp fun, and this year it’s set to happen again.

Last year the fun of Camp Kanannaq was had far away from any local lake due to COVID-19, but organizers were beyond excited to announce it will be returning for 2021.

Campers go on day trips to the camp and do activities which include a challenge course, archery, forest games, canoeing, swimming, and s’mores!

Spots are filling up fast according to the Northern BC YMCA, but there is still room over the eight weeks that the camp runs in July and August.

New this year, registration is being done online which you can find here.

Stephanie Deol, Director of Communications and Philanthropy at the Northern BC YMCA says they want to make sure anyone who wants to go camping, can go.

Funding programs are in place for those families who need them.

The Aurora Leadership Program and the Borealis Counselor-in-Training Program are also returning this summer bringing opportunities for kids of all ages.
