Spruce Kings to celebrate 50th Anniversary as team launches Ticket Package sales

PRINCE GEORGE – The Prince George Spruce Kings are pleased to announce that Ticket Packages for the 50th Anniversary Season of Junior Hockey in Prince George are now on sale.

The Spruce Kings state they’re excited about their plans for the 50th Anniversary, and more details on those plans will be unveiled as the season gets closer.

Ticket Plan Memberships are available in a variety of packages and age-grouping price points for all seats at the Rolling Mix Concrete Arena.

Fans are able to purchase Full Season Tickets and get an assigned seat throughout the Season and Playoffs, featuring the lowest price per game on tickets, and two free Playoff games. This is in addition to free Exhibition game tickets, a 10 per cent Discount at the Spruce Kings Shop, and a ticket exchange program where fans won’t miss out on their ticket’s value.

“This is such an exciting year for us,” said Spruce Kings Business Operations Manager Kyle Anderson, “to have our 50th Anniversary, and a year after fans in Prince George had no hockey, we can’t begin to imagine how much fun the RMCA will be this year.”

Following the lead of other teams in the BCHL, the Spruce Kings have modified their “Flex Plans” and turned them into Full Season and Half Season Un-dated Ticket Packages. Fans will receive 26 or 13 vouchers at the same price as regular-season tickets and have full control over how they utilize these over the course of the season. All season ticket perks will be available to these package holders.

“We’ve talked about this as a group of marketers on many occasions,” added Anderson, “and the ultimate flexibility is needed this season. With the un-dated package, a couple who may not feel comfortable coming back right away, could buy one package, then come to the last 13 home games once they’re ready.”

The 5-Game Plan also makes its return, and will be for the 5 Decade Nights placed throughout the season as the Spruce Kings honour their past with special jerseys and other events:

• Friday, November 5th – Throwback to 1972 vs Trail

• Friday, December 10th – Throwback to 1980s vs Cranbrook

• Friday, February 11th – Throwback to 1997 vs Wenatchee

• Friday, February 25th – Throwback to early 2000s vs Salmon Arm
