Aberdeen Glen Golf Club to host tournaments once again

PRINCE GEORGE – Aberdeen Glen Golf Club hasn’t hosted any golf tournaments since before the pandemic began.

While they typically host four golf tournaments they did not host any last year. This year however, they will host two.

The Iron Man and the Ladies 2-Ball will be hosted this year, while the Men’s and Divorce Open will have to wait until next year.

With the pandemic still in effect and restrictions still in place, Jessey Church, the Assistant Pro at Aberdeen Glen, says he wants to bring back some tournaments for people who are waiting to get back, all the while not rushing back to normal too quickly.

“We’ve got the Ironman that’s going to go on July 24th and 25th and then we’ve got the Ladies 2-Ball as well, which is going to go on July 10th and 11th. We’re just happy that we’re able to get back to some sort of normalcy with this kind of stuff. Normally we put on four events: Men’s Open, Ladies event, the Ironman and then the Divorce Open. We’re just gonna try and ease our way back into it this year, do a couple of them, get people interested again and hopefully be able to blow the doors off everything next year.”
