Four wildfires of note within the Prince George Fire Centre
PRINCE GEORGE – There were four wildfires of note within the Prince George Fire Centre Region as of Monday morning, and several in BC are out of control.
As a result, Liberal MLA Mike Morris is calling on John Horgan to immediately enact a provincial state of emergency so those fighting the fires can quickly access resources.
Some of the fire crews based in the Prince George fire centre focus their efforts on the Chilako fire, southwest of Prince George, which is considered out of control and around 800 hectares. And in the same area is the Cutoff Creek fire, estimated to be 600 hectares in size.
