VICTORIA — Fifty-nine new cases of COVID-19 in B.C., including two in the Northern Health region.

There are 624 active cases of the virus with 86 people in hospital, 20 of whom are in intensive care.

A total of 147,856 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in B.C. since the pandemic began and 145,455 have recovered.

There have been no new deaths reported in B.C. over the past 24 hours with the death toll remaining at 1,759.
