PRINCE GEORGE – The Prince George Cougars Alumni were back at the Prince George Golf and Curling Club to tee off for the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation.

The annual charity golf tournament looked slightly different this year due to to the pandemic and the level of uncertainty around health restrictions, making planning difficult.

This year, the Prince George Cougars, the Prince George Cougars Alumni Association, the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation, and Northland Dodge are proud to present the Prince George Cougars Alumni Million Dollar Hole-In-One Charity Golf Tournament.

“It’s always great to be back here in Prince George and to raise money for the Spirit of the North,” said Dan Hamhuis.

Several alumni were on hand to take part including Part-Owners Dan Hamhuis and Eric Brewer, along with Chase Witala, Dan Gibb, Ronald Petrovicky, and others.

This is the first time the tournament has been put on since 2019 as last years edition had to be cancelled due to the pandemic.

All proceeds from this year’s tournament will go towards cardiac care for the University Hospital of Northern British Columbia. The golf tournament raised over $75,000 in 2019 and since its inception, $558,000 has been raised for equipment that has primarily focused on cardiac care for Northern BC.
