Expanded evacuation alert for Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako

PRINCE GEORGE — An expanded evacuation alert was issued due to the Cutoff Creek Wildfire.

Because of the potential danger to life and health, the Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako, in conjunction with B.C. Parks, issued an update to the July 5 evacuation alert.

Effective July 9 at 6 p.m., the update affects the following areas:

1. beginning at approximately 133 kilometers from where Kenny Dam Road turns into Lakes Road
2. southwest to Knewstubb Lake
3. then east along Red Road
4. following the Regional District boundary to the southern centre of Finger-Tatuk Park.
5. from 133 kilometers from where Kenny Dam Road turns into Lakes Road, south east to the centre of Finger-Tatuk Park
