PRINCE GEORGE – Last year, the BC Northern Exhibition had to be cancelled due to the pandemic and it was shaping up to share the same fate this year. But as of today, there will be an event in August, but not quite the BCNE.
“It’s not the BCNE that everyone’s used to. But we are supporting our 4-H community. They will be having their full appreciation day here so the kids who’ve worked so hard with their projects and their animals will get the recognition they didn’t get last year,” explains Sylvia Layzell, General Manager of the PG Agricultural and Historical Association. “And we will have a scaled-down version of our midway. It’s not going to be the fall fair midway. It’s going to be set up more like the spring fair midway. There will be some rides, some games, activities for the kids, and, of course, the mini donuts.”
