PG Senior Men’s Baseball League back after hiatus due to pandemic

PRINCE GEORGE – The ballplayers are back at Citizen Field on a regular basis after a year hiatus due to the pandemic.

The return to the diamond was a much-anticipated one for many players including Paul Wilson, Executive Member of the PG Senior Men’s Baseball League.

“It feels great to be back, I have been playing ball since I was seven I think, and last year was the first year in awhile I wasn’t playing ball.” said Wilson.

The league will be playing a shortened regular season where the five teams will play 15 games each, with full playoffs starting late August.

For the men who play in the league, it’s a chance to socialize, play baseball, and most importantly get out of the house according to some.

The league also serves as a chance for the PG Knights U18 AAA squad to get some reps in, between their regular league games.

Games take place every weeknight at Citizen Field and are free of charge for spectators.
