“I think it’s really cool. Tonight me and my dad are going to be playing together, so this will be a first actually. I almost feel like Ken Griffey and Ken Griffey Jr.,” says Preston.

“I feel like he’s definitely proud, like he’s able to coach me through the sport and put me to the places I’ve gone already. There’s a rivalry between me and my dad for sure, like I remember last season striking him out was really cool. Growing up watching my dad play here and now that I have the opportunity is cool.”

And for Bobby he acts just like a dad, a fan in the stands, but now he’s actually on the field.

“There’s always that excitement every time he makes a play or he’s up to bat, it’s awesome, it’s been really cool,” says Bobby. “I’ve been watching him play and grow as a ballplayer and then I’ve still played with the Gladiators ever since I was 20, I’m one of the last remaining. It’s cool to have him in the league.”
