Drug bust leads to arrest in Valemount

VALEMOUNT — A drug bust in Valemount has led to the arrest of a local man.
On Friday of last week (July 17), RCMP there executed ad search warrant at a known drug house on the 1000 block of 14th avenue.
Police seized substantial amounts of drugs, including cocaine, crack cocaine, suspected methamphetamine, GHB and heroin. Mounties also found drug paraphernalia, including scales, plastic baggies and needles. RCMP also seized over $6,800 in cash.
The man was located without incident inside the home and is facing numerous charges including, but not limited to, trafficking in a controlled substance, and possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.
